It's Back...! Strut09 and Raleigh Fashion Week.

Gather your Notepad, Blackberry, Google Calendar, Facebook Calendar, or whatever it is you can find at this very moment and take note of this not-to-be-missed, three-day Fashion event, known as Raleigh Fashion Week should and will be on every Raleigh fashionista's calendar!

For those of you who may or may not know, Strut08, a production of Brian Williams TV of Raleigh, made its' debut for one night last year as the area's biggest Fashion and Entertainment event emerging the local Triangle Fashion scene and has quickly become one of the hottest annual "must attend" events. Strut09 is back again and is scheduled to debut it's expanded 3-day showcase, Raleigh Fashion Week, with nightly shows, daytime seminars and vendor booths, May 14th-16th at the Raleigh Convention Center and will feature and highlight National Designers that have “local Triangle Roots”, including Chapel Hill's very own, Alexander Julian, as well as the latest collections from local boutiques and designers.

Thursday's show will start off with a salute to emerging-designers, including North Carolina State University Art to Wear Designers, Friday's show will continue with devotion to Women's & Men's Formal wear and Saturday's affair will conclude Raleigh Fashion Week with Strut09, the Red-Carpet Style grand finale, which will be televised at a later date.

If you've got what it takes to walk the runway and want to be a part of Raleigh Fashion Week, be sure to attend the auditions for Strut 09 on March 11th at the The Oxford Gastro Pub, 319 Fayetteville St in Downtown Raleigh, where up to 75 people including men and women will be selected. Registration will begin at 5:30 pm and auditions to start at 7pm.

Tickets to attend the show will go on sale April 1st, 2009 and will benefit Interact, a Wake County organization that serves victims of domestic violence and abuse. For more information on the show, auditions, schedule and more, visit http://www.strut09.com/.
