Hand-carried and Hand-painted - "diva-fied" Handbags by Local Artist Brandi Bowen

You can tell a lot by a ladie’s handbag. It can often times give hints about who she is. A high-end handbag means she enjoys the luxuries of life. A cross-body or a satchel handbag means she may be business minded, has a lot of important paper work or could be harnessing a computer inside. A canvass or cloth handbag means she fresh and easy-going. A large handbag with many pockets and compartments means she’s into organization. What does your handbag say about you? Never given it much thought? You should!
Some of us change handbags frequently to match outfits but many of us choose our handbags and they accompany us through our daily activities for months at a time. If we're going to commit to an accessory for a few months, everyday; most fashionistas are pretty proud of their handbag and sometimes drool and gush over it months before even purchasing it! (Ok, wait maybe that’s me).Local artist Brandi Bowen, is here to give self-expression through handbags a truly unique option. Brandi offers us an opportunity to carry a handbag as well as a one of kind piece of art simultaneously. “The Diva” which is Bowen’s iconic figure is a exotic looking women with wild hair suspended above her head. The hair takes many different textures and seems to resemble octopus tentacles. Her trademark character has adorable rotund checks, a petite nose and retro pair of plump lips.

Brandi currently has two handbags with this “Diva” making it an art piece that travels with you! Both handbags are white. One is a clutch and the other is a hobo style. The prices are extremely reasonable (under $65!). Bowen also does custom orders so if you have a simple handbag that you want “diva-fied” just left her know!
Brandi has her own Etsy shop where you can purchase her one of kind items. Such as her handbags, as well as silk scarves and tons adorable vintage jewelry! Check it now!
